Contact Oakdale Electric Cooperative
- Member must obtain all necessary permits/requirements from the appropriate municipality.
- Member must provide Oakdale Electric Cooperative building plans and location of the property.
- An on-site visit will be scheduled with a field engineer. The member or contractor must be present.
- New members are subject to identity verification and credit assessment. Member will need to provide address, social security number, and date of birth. A consumer deposit may be required before the service is energized.
On-Site Visit
- After completion of the on-site visit, the field engineer will define options to extend the service including costs.
Complete Forms and Service Requirements
- Membership Application - Complete, sign, and return.
- Line Extension Policy - Sign and return.
- Easement - Member must provide Oakdale Electric Cooperative the legal description of the site with a copy of the Warranty Deed or certified survey map. The property owners must sign and have their signatures notarized. Complete and return.
- Meter Applications/Requirements
- Meter sockets must have a bypass. If the meter equipment is an underground residential socket, it must be a minimum of 200 Amps.
- Service must be wired per National Electric Code.
- Notify Oakdale Electric Cooperative when socket is ready. The proposed route must be clear of all obstructions.
- Construction fees must be paid, and all paperwork completed and returned to Oakdale Electric Cooperative, before construction is scheduled.
- Electric service will be scheduled if the grade and landscaping is within 6 inches of the final grade.
- The party responsible for digging must contact Digger's Hotline.
- Expose any private facilities in the flagged path (ie septic system, member's underground cable).
- If applicable, member must contact the telephone company to initiate their phone system. Oakdale Electric Cooperative may contact the telephone company to coordinate joint burial.
Completion
- The actual completion time varies depending on current work load, complexity of the service installation, and weather conditions.
- Service charges will begin with the meter is set and organized.
